NORWAY

In March of 2019, I traveled to Norway with my high school choir—Oslo, Bergen, and Lillehammer to be exact. We sang in public high schools and centuries-old churches, bringing Spirit-filled music into places that had long forgotten the power of the Gospel. After each performance, we got to share the love of Jesus and pray with students who had never encountered Him.

It was just a month after The Send in Orlando, and I felt completely alive—like I was truly living out the zeal of my salvation that I had just received that February. I’ll never forget the faces of the girls I witnessed to, or the way I sensed God giving me a heart for this nation.

Between sledding down a snowy mountain on a broken sled (truly terrifying) and singing in buildings older than America, I came alive to the idea that music can cross any barrier—language, culture, or worldview—and be a vessel for the Gospel.
